Ansgar Diekmann

Headquartered in the Venice of the East, ALSCO is the leading provider of Returnable Packaging Solutions and Packaging Pooling Service and serves clients across China as well as in Japan/Korea, Southeast Asia and Europe, where the main office is located in Ingolstadt/Germany. With a degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University of Technology, Ansgar has a vast experience in international trade and cross-border M&A. He spent his early working years at one major East-Asia trading company, followed by assignments to build or re-structure sales & service organisations of technology companies, both in Europe and Asia.

Prof. Dr. Edward Sweeney

Professor Edward Sweeney is Professor of Logistics and Systems at Aston University in Birmingham, UK and Director of the Aston Logistics & Systems Institute. He is an experienced researcher with over 150 publications in the form of books, book chapters, journal papers and articles to his name. He also sits on the editorial boards of several leading academic journals and currently chairs the Logistics Research Network (LRN), the UK’s leading network of scholars in the supply chain field. Edward has worked and lectured in over 50 countries and collaborated with many of the world’s leading companies. His current work focusses on the development of sustainable and resilient global supply chain architectures.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Taschner

Andreas Taschner is the programme director for the study programme “International Operations and Logistics Management”. Taschner joined ESB Business School of Reutlingen University in 2011 as a professor of management accounting. During his 12 years in industry, Taschner held various positions in the telecommunications industry. Andreas Taschner studied Business Administration at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Taschner focuses his research and publication activities on management accounting problems in an international manufacturing environment with a special focus on supply chains and has published various textbooks and journal papers on management accounting topics. Andreas Taschner is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.

Prof. Jan H Jansen

Jan H. Jansen holds state degrees in Economics and Statistics (MO KX & MO Q; equivalent to M.Ed Economics). He started (1978) his teaching career at a grammar school (Stedelijk Gymnasium Arnhem) and continued (1985) to become a senior lecturer at Arnhem Business School (faculty of HAN University of Applied Sciences) in subjects like: Economics, Finance, Management Accounting, Circular Economy, Didactics of Economics and Supply Chain Finance. He is also a (guest) professor at: University of Aruba, Plekhanov Institute (Moscow), Chelyabinsk State University,  IUT Vesoul and ESB Business School, Reutlingen University.

Since 2001 he has been a member of the research group of Logistics & Alliances of HAN University of Applied Sciences. His current research topics are in the field of: Supply Chain Finance and related topics like Blockchain, IT Platforms and Sustainability in logistics (Circular economy). He is leading editor of the EFLE website (www.efle.eu) and in this network a pan-European research is performed about future competencies of logisticians.

Dr. Nur Budi Mulyono

Dr. Eng. Nur Budi Mulyono is a Lecturer of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. He holds an engineering doctoral degree from Toyohashi University of Technology with dissertation on self-organized network of relief logistic and inventory. At the School of Business and Management ITB, he teaches Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Performance Management, and the Business Analytic. He is starting a research career in humanitarian supply chain management and economic sharing development. He is recently involved in emerging research on the logistic sharing solution for SME in Indonesia such as logistic industry mapping, the business process modeling, set pricing mechanism, measuring risk, and design network structure for logistic sharing. He is associated with Indonesian Disaster Expert Association. His research interests include humanitarian supply chain, inventory models, operations management, business continuity, and economic sharing. Besides teaching, his professional expertise focuses on the development and optimization of factory operation as well as resilience of SME in Japan. The results of his research have been published in an International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control, and Procedia Computer Science. In addition, he has presented his work at national and international conferences.

Prof. Dr. Martin Mocker

Prof. Dr. Martin Mocker is professor of information systems at ESB Business School and research affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research on digital transformation has been published in management journals including Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review. He is co-author of the forthcoming MIT Press book “Designed for Digital: How to Architect Your Business for Sustained Success.”

Dr. Patricio Torres-Palacio

Doctor Patricio Torres-Palacio is a Ph.D., M.B.A. and M.S.I.E. (Master of Science in Industrial Engineering) from Purdue University. In his native country, Ecuador, Dr. Torres-Palacio holds degrees in Business Administration (Finance), Law, Computer Programming, and C.P.A.
Currently, Dr. Torres-Palacio is a faculty at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, USA. In this institution, he teaches Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Six Sigma, Project Management, Principles of Management, and Business to Business Marketing. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in Texas and an Assistant Professor & MBA Program Coordinator in the state of Pennsylvania as well as an instructor at Purdue University.

Dr. Torres-Palacio’s publication topics include Holonic Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Finance, and Product Lifecycle Management. In his industry, he founded and managed his own business, "JOENPAL Limited". Dr. Torres-Palacio has also been a junior accountant and an investment & credit consultant.
